Howto automatic set the windows xp compatibility mode

hello from germany (12 points :-)

i have following problem. we have an application (32-bit) which we run unter windows 7 x64. when we change some settings, they do not take effect. if we set the application to run in the "windows servicepack 3 compatiblity mode" than the effects will run.

is there a possibility to set one EXE after the silent installation to run automaticly in the "windows servicepack 3 compatiblity mode"

i work with wise installation system 9.2

kind regards

hassan

Yes there is,

Add a registry key to your package, for example:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers]
"C:\\Program Files\\Vendor\\AppName\\App.exe"="WINXPSP3"
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
