IBM Client Access / Looping install-Configuration

Hi there ... I'm trying to deploy via GPO a MSI package called IBM Client Access 5.4.0. I'm near a success but i'm not yet in !
Let me explain. I've snapshoted before and after an install of the client access. I've tried installing and uninstalling with policies and it's okay, the soft is working well. So lucky that way. But the final point is that each time a user logs in and tries to launch the soft, there is like an install configuration. As if the deployment were per user but it is per computer. So i let you imagine when a local users tries it ... error, the package could not be found and so on !
Another strange thing is that once the package is deployed, when i try to copy/paste a file (no matter what file it is), there is exactly the same behaviour (the package, which have nothing to do with a copy/paste, do a preparing installation / collect information).
This is not the first time i see this escpecially when i use Wininstall LE to make MSIs.

Has anyone an idea on what's going wrong / what i'm doing wrong ? What should i configure in order to avoid the package to self installs/configures all time ?

Thx in advance for your help ! [;)]

If the MSI contains data destined for the user profile (file or registry) that behaviour is expected.

the package could not be foundHow can this be happening at the same time as the repair (above)? If the package couldn't be found, there would be no repair. Please clarify.

copy/paste a file From and to where?

Hi and thx for replying so quickly !!!

1 - i think there are some data destined for the user profile, but the thing is that this is not expected do configures each time the user logs in, once it's done, it's done !
2 - the package could not be found as i f i try to use it with a local account and my package is stored on a share ... That's normal, but this is not the real matter here
3 - When i copy for exemple a file from c:\ to c:\temp. It's an exemple but i have many like this !

However, i think i've found something : All my Wininstall packages are configured with multiple components. And they are all non configured (by default it seems) except the parent which is in my case IBM Client Access. Others like AS400 Operations Navigator are not. I explain. They are not set to be installed or let say not explicitly. What i've done is select for each components execute from the local hard drive or in the advanced tab, follow the parent and it works near like a charm ! The components configures only one time which is normal if there are users data (point 1) but not more ... I think i got it !!!

In other terms, the soft deploys via GPO, the user opens the softs and it configures only one time ... If i reboot or do a logoff/login, i've no more configuration appending.
What do you think about that ? Seems it okay for you ? right behaviour ?
