Microsoft office kit question
Hi,
i'm trying to use office resource kit, in the kit is there any way i can choose just one options ( ex. microsoft word to install not all rest one's ) that can be done using resource kit ? Thanks in adavace

hi aa006,
vision33r is right, but you have to keep in mind
that you cannot design different pakets like standalone word, standalone excel....
and then try to install two of them to one machine, cause the msi will deinstall all but your last of these applications.
Problem is the GUID, which is from the same data1pro.msi.

I don't have Office XP resource kit loaded but in Office 2003, it's page 8 of the Custom Installation Wizard. You have to choose Configure local installation source.
If you create an adminstrative installation/share using msiexec /a, you are prompted for the key when it places the files and don't need to re-add via the mst (I think).
