Package ActiveSync3.7
Hi,
I am trying to repackage application ActiveSync version 3.7.
The application has only one shortcut.
Problem with the repackaged application is that when the shortcut is launched a folder path opens up. The path opened is InstallDir ( i.e C:\Program files\Microsoft ActiveSync)
Has anyone successfully packaged this application.
Please lead me a way how to prevent the folder from appearing once the shortcut is clicked.
Thanks in advance,
Charan.

Charan,
I already faced this problem, there is a registry entry which is captured in your msi.. just check for the classroot registry entry and there should be a value with Installdir as you mentioned.. sorry i could not exactly remember which key.. if you require more information just send me the registry entry captured to my perosnal email id..i will sort it out for you..

Hi,
Check the registry is your package at HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows CE Services\AutoStartOnConnect and HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows CE Services\AutoStartOnDisconnect
As far as I know there is no need to have any keys here. Probably the AutoStartOnConnect key is filled with something that causes your problem.
Regards.
