problem in installing application

Hi,
I am working on ACR/DETAIL v3.1.
I tried to install the application on the machine, it opens fine in admin log-in on the machine, but when I try to open it from user login it gives me error that it need to re-install.
I tried to give admin rights to the user and try to open but it seems It works if I give user admin rights and install application from users account (so i need to install for everu user tha install once and use by all users).
Can you tell me if I need to do any more settings to make it run for the normal user? Or it is only for admin on the machine?
I tried to modify rights for the folders but for the same results.

Please update me.

adding to question above ... can i create a MSI which gives user a admin rights only while application is installing itself ???

Use Filemon and Regmon from SysInternals (now Microsoft) to pin down which Folder/File/Registry which you get the "Access Denied" status and set security permissions on these for ex Interactive user to be able to change anything in any of these findings.

If I am correct, you install the program with an admin account, the result is that the application starts when you are still logged in with that account? If you then log in as a user with user rights the application does not work.
I think that you are either missing registry keys in the HKLU or you do not have rights in HKLM keys, because the user that installed the application only has rights and is owner of these registry keys so nothing can be written there. You should be able to see something with Process monitor of sysinternals as AngelID suggested.

Robin

Make sure the application repair any user resources such as "User Profile" and HKCU registry.
Install as admin, login as a regular user that is not member of any admin group, run msiexec /fup {ProductCode} /qb
Try to run the application as the user and see if it works

If not and still logged in as a regular user;
use the runas command to launch filemon & regmon or Process Monitor as this is a merged version of these two tools + Process Explorer.
Filter on on the applications processname
Run the application as the user
Look for entries with Status "Access Denied"

If it works as admin but not user I think you have a problem with the MSI not repairing files in the userprofile.

so now my problem is where can i put those keys so every profile can use it .... or can i import those everytime new user logs in ????

Find each component holding files in the user profile and make sure they have a HKCU registry entry as a key path.
Do you have more then one feature in you package?
