Problem setting Key Path

Hi all!

I have a problem setting Key Path for a registry value for Current User. If i set it in Registry-view, it just ignores my setting. If i set it in the Components or Setup Design-view, it does change the icon into a key, but if i go back to the registry-view, the key-icon is gone for the value. The package does not repair itself either for new users logging on.

Anyone knows how to solv it?

I am running InstallShield 10.50 Pro.

/Jonas

installshield does not show the key path icon when viewed from the registry-view, as you said key path can only be set from the components view and not from registry view. try putting the component in the top most feature.

if there is only one feature (Ex. FeatureOld) create a new feature in the setupdesign view (ex. NewFeature1), then drag and drop FeatureOld under NewFeature1, making Newfeature1 the parent of FeatureOld. now drag and dop the component that has the registry for current user in NewFeature1.

if you have multiple features then drag and drop the current user registry component in the topmost parent feature.

Thanks for your help.
For some reason it did not solv my problem. I have also tried making a new Component on a new Feature, only containing the registry value. It does not help either =(

The "program" in this case is just an Access Database. Can that be the problem? The Registry Value contains the database-directory value.
