Readme.txt is causing the problem
I am workin on an application that installs IME for East- Asian Languaages specifically Chinese. The setup has been created using InnoSetup. My target is to make the installtion of the application compeletly silent. For that I am using following command line options:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop>Setup.exe /SP- /VERYSILENT /SUPPRESSMSG
BOXES /NOCANCEL /NORESTART /LOG="D:\Applog.log" /DIR="C:\Program Files\App Folder" /NOICONS /SAVEINF="D:\Appinf.inf"
Only problem I am facing is that on the last screen there few options and one of them launches Readme.txt file and all these options are checked by default.
My production environment does not allow user interaction at all so I have to suppress the launch of the Readme.txt file. I found the option for /MERGETAKS="comma separated list of task names" and tried to use this as well I am able to supress the desktop icons creation but am not able to supress the launch of readme.txt
So any help in this regard would be appreciated.
Note: I even tried to decompile the packge and then recompile the ISS Script file thus obtained. This time I got the application to install successfully but it did not appear in the Languages Details property sheet under regional and language settings in the control panel.
P.S:You can send a direct mail to AssmbLLYCoder@gmail.com but no spam please.
