Removing Babylon

Has anyone got experience on removing Babylon software from I.E toolbar?

We have few users which accidentally has manage to install this and is annoying.

Appreciate some great feedback on this.

Are you trying to remove the babylon software completely or just remove the toolbar from IE?

The toolbar uninstall command appears to be: "C:\Program Files (x86)\BabylonToolbar\BabylonToolbar\1.8.3.8\GUninstaller.exe" -nowait -ucrmex -uprtc -key BabylonToolbar

  • I tried several things to get the uninstall to go completely silent but there doesnt appear to be a way to do this apart from doing a repackage with the app deploy repackager. - WhitzEnd 11 years ago

 C:\Program Files\Babylon\Babylon-Pro\Utils\uninstbb.exe

According to thier KB it is a simple uninstall command, a quick google shows it may be more involved.  I have you tried the command ?  Are you using a tool to do this remotely?

  • I have tried the command via Uninstall command via Kace and tried running it without any luck. Also tried with /S
Seems to be more complex, unless you have done it successfully. - hjansari 11 years ago
  • Unattended removal command for Babylon (tested on Babylon 7):

    32-bit machines: C:\Program Files\Babylon\Babylon-Pro\Utils\uninstbb.exe -silent

    64-bit machines: C:\Program Files (x86)\Babylon\Babylon-Pro\Utils\uninstbb.exe -silent - dakotawan456 11 years ago

For the version that went around my organization (an older version), this worked:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\BabylonToolbar\BabylonToolbar\1.6.4.6\uninstall.exe" /S /NCRC

"C:\Program Files\BabylonToolbar\BabylonToolbar\1.6.4.6\uninstall.exe" /S /NCRC

msiexec.exe /x{83aa2913-c123-4146-85bd-ad8f93971d39} /qn /norestart

The last one is the "Babylon Objects Installer"

Hope that helps someone!
