this is for a Dell390, Windows 7, With the both partitions,

its the first time i have come across this error.

Searching through some other forums,

::Outside link::

this doesn’t help

because...,its a pretty clean build, with out much in the way off applications installed.

So i dont know how it could be a corrupt install, or a malware.

im guessing this has something to do with KACE, Im hoping Someone has seen this before, before i escalate it to a ticket

Thanks for you time guys, let me know if i can give anymore info

Usually this is due to a missing driver or the drive type is set different in bios between the source and target machines.  It could even be the system is finding a older driver that is not meant for this model but it uses it since it does not have the currrent driver to load.

  • could also be loading the wrong chipset when coming out of sysprep.
  • Thanks for the Quick reply!
    We have been building and deploying to the same machine, So there should be no discrepancies when it comes to BIOS settings.
    And If its a older or missing driver, Where about would i start to try and find the culprit?
  • Are these new machines? if so are they starting to come with the AF hard drives and you have not added the drivers for these? You can check this by looking at the label on the drive for the AF logo.
  • About 6 months on the floor, And yes, This Hard drive does show the Black box AF logo,
    Unless you have another solution, im gonna follow through with some suggestions on this

    Thanks for pointing in the right direction, Ill Post again once i have been able to try this out.
    • you need to download the intel RST drivers and add them to your boot env. You can create a midlevel task to copy these files to c:\windows\inf\somedirectory with syspreped images and it will find it coming out of sysprep.
      • are you in the northern or southern NV area?
