Windows cannot locate the disk and partition specified in the unattend answer file's <ImageInstall>

I'm getting this error when ever i launch any of my scripted installs.
The only thing that has recently changed was we updated the k2000 to version 3.3.

Windows cannot locate the disk and partition specified in the unattend answer file's <ImageInstall> setting

I did a google on it and it come up with this result
http://frsconnect.frontrange.com/blog_post_view.aspx?BlogPostID=ec2101fa09e04da1857c741d68074840

I don't understand how the resolution applies to Kace.
Any ideas on how i can fix this?

  • I am also looking for the same answer and unattend file so that I can finish testing my base image for my company. Please if anyone could share any enlightenment, that would be most helpful!!!! - dmc32 10 years ago

Hi Christopher

I have emailed you the requested information.

Please consider posting here so others can assist and/or benefit from the solution. I don’t see the partition being formatted after being created- that’s my suspicion.

The latest "resolved" link posted by CordlezToaster is broken. A post with corrections to the answerfile on link below solved this error for me. http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/155844-autounattend-on-virtual-box/  See post: #8, by myselfidem (Posted 24 May 2012 10:28AM)
