How can I get the K1000 to pull 1 specific software, version, machine...etc, ie python 2.7?

I work on a closed network and we use KACE K1000 and K2000 to manage software and image capture for the network. I know that this can happen because I know KACE, but how can I get all the machines on my network to show 1 specific software, what machine it's on, what version it and when it was installed? I know the reporting can do that I just don't know how to get it to work.

  • How is this different from what is displayed in the Software Inventory section? If you search for "Python" you will see the different version numbers and machine count. If you click on a specific inventory page, you can see the individual computers with that specific version. - JasonEgg 7 years ago

Here is a copy of a thread I made for someone else with your problem.

Should work with any software you choose.

In this case I chose "Visio 2010 Premium".

Create a new report

Choose topic as "Software Catalog - Metering By Machines"

Pick the Fields you want displayed. Make sure to pick the "device field", to show

the list of devices with the software. Also pick the "Version" field, which you need

in your case.

ORDER...

SORT....

FINALLY apply filters

Search by product name = Visio premium

Result of Visio premium and all the devices it is installed on.

Including hours it was used on each machine. Also number of times

it was launched.

Hope this helps

  • I tried it and for some reason when I went to run it, it shows up as a blank page with nothing. - bman008 8 years ago
